I’m a digital-savvy wordsmith with seven years of experience creating revenue-driving commerce content, how-to guides, business features, and punchy news copy. My reporting wheelhouse spans design, sustainability, lifestyle, and food & beverage. But my sweet spot is translating trends and industry jargon into stories readers actually want to click (and shop).
Currently, as a commerce editor, I dig into SEO best practices, hands-on product testing, and online reviews to build buying guides on everything from pillows and reclining sofas to olive oil and maternity Halloween costumes. You’ll also find my byline associated with best-seller roundups, Amazon spotlights, and gift guides galore (think: under-$25 steals, last-minute Mother’s Day finds, and more). And as a former deals writer, I’ve sharpened the ability to sniff out serious steals from mediocre markdowns, a skill that helps the teams I work for consistently hit short- and long-term revenue goals.
But my first journalism gig was with Floor Covering Weekly, a Hearst-owned trade publication, where I dedicated three years to learning the ins and outs of hardwood, rugs, and tile. I reported from industry conferences across the country, profiled CEOs and retail owners, and covered breaking news events (tarriffs, anyone?), while simultaneously running the brand’s social media accounts. In just a few months, I grew its Instagram presence from 1,000 to 5,000+ followers.
My career kicked off with internships at nonprofits like the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum and the U.S. Green Building Council, providing me with a foundation in marketing and communications. A short stint in PR rounded out those skills before I pivoted into media full-time. And because I like to flex my creative muscles, I’ve even built a budding side hustle in photography and video to boot.

After a short stint in the sciences at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, I did a 180, graduating from Brockport with a bachelor’s degree in English and minor in Business Administration. I then went on to earn a master’s degree in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

If I weren’t so bad at math, I’d probably be an architect.
Obsessed with estate sales and scoring treasures on Facebook Marketplace.
An ideal weekend is one where both the Dallas Cowboys and Tottenham Hotspurs both walk away with wins.
My first internship was hauling a giant GPS around airports to map habitats of the endangered Karner Blue Butterfly.
